Unawatuna

Unawatuna is a coastal town in Galle district of Sri Lanka, which is famous for its beautiful beach and corals. Unawatuna’s beach is a picturesque semi circular bay beach fringed by lush groves of coconut palm trees. With a bit of luck the tourists may even witness turtles laying eggs along the shore or magnificent sea turtles swimming around in the sky blue waters of the Indian Ocean.

Protected by a double reef over the bay creates a natural pool, which makes the bay safe for swimmers. Wide coral reefs and sunk boats makes Unawatuna a great destination for snorkelling and diving enthusiasts all year around.
